Application Support Specialist Job Details

As an Application Support Specialist, you will be the front line for the technical team on Customer, Coach, Administrator and Manager issues. Your primary responsibilities are to present clear and consistent communication on the state of an issue, keeping the submitter apprised of solution time frames, while also tracking down those solutions. You will work with our developers, developer operations engineers, product team, recruiting coaches, recruiting force management and IT team to identify larger issues and research timelines for potential solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear and professional communication on issue status, error resolution, work arounds and changes in issue priority
  • Identify issues that need to be escalated to a developer as a bug or defect
  • Work with the Product team to prioritize and communicate larger issues
  • Ability to learn quickly, advance knowledge and broadly apply new concepts to satisfy various customer issues and requests, particularly technical concepts
  • Address issues directly where applicable, building skills over time to solve more technical problems before escalating
  • Function as backup coverage for basic IT issues


Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience working in Service Desk, Help Desk, Call Center or a Customer Support related position
  • Excellent and professional written and oral communication skills - we are a team-oriented company and you will be one of the voices from the technical team to the non-technical teams
  • Technical skills in SQL (preferred)
  • IT experience a plus
  • Familiarity with Jira, ZenDesk or similar issue tracking systems
  • Self-starter but self-aware enough to ask for help early and often
  • A team-player, always looking to make things better and easier for a co-worker
  • Experience working within cross-functional AGILE teams in a collaborative development environment a plus
