Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in a hospital setting. The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs. This position involves working closely with the kitchen staff to prepare, serve, and clean up after meals, while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Duties

• Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the supervision of the head cook or dietary manager.
• Help serve meals to patients, ensuring that each individual receives the correct diet as prescribed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
• Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
• Participate in training sessions related to food preparation and safety protocols as required.
• Support other kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operation during meal service times.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food handling practices is a plus.
• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
