Position Highlights
This full-time Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry opportunity offers the chance to practice at the intersection of medicine and psychiatry within a forward-thinking Behavioral Intervention Team.
In this role, you will:
Provide psychiatric consultation services to hospitalized patients
Participate in an innovative, proactive care model that identifies and addresses psychiatric and substance use concerns early in hospitalization
Contribute to improved patient outcomes, reduced hospital length of stay, and enhanced care coordination
Practice in a collegial environment that values physician input, clinical excellence, and innovation
Hours: M-F 8am-430pm
Academic and Teaching Opportunities
For physicians with an interest in education, opportunities are available to:
Teach and mentor Middlesex Health Family Medicine Residents
Work with medical students from Yale School of Medicine and the University of Connecticut
Participate in the ongoing development of educational initiatives within the health system
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Eligibility for Connecticut medical licensure
Fellowship training or Board Certification in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry/Psychosomatic Medicine preferred, but not required
