Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Certified Dietary Manager to join our team at North Beach Rehabilitation Center in North Miami Beach, Florida. As a key member of our dietary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food service to our residents. Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff supervision
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, such as the Department of Health, and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
Develop and implement menu plans that meet the dietary needs of our residents, including specialized diets and therapeutic diets
Supervise and train dietary staff to ensure excellent customer service and quality of food presentation
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure that residents' nutritional needs are met and that dietary plans are adjusted as needed
Monitor and control food budgets, inventory, and supplies
Maintain accurate records and reports of dietary operations, including food production, inventory, and waste management
Requirements:
Certification as a Dietary Manager through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or equivalent
2 years of experience in dietary management, preferably in a long-term care setting
Strong knowledge of food service operations, menu planning, and food safety principles
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports
