About the role:

The E&L Chemist role is a laboratory-based position belonging to the India Validation Services Laboratory and reporting directly to the E&L Lab Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing test materials and executing the test according to protocol and SOPs. Using computer software including; Excel, Word, Omnic, Empower. Laboratory support activities such as: cleaning labware – Teflon vessels, flasks, NVR beakers etc; calibration of pipettor, balance, and pH meters; general troubleshooting. Generating complete documentation of results and accurate data during testing according to Good Documentation Practices and ALCOA+ principles. Writing test protocols and test reports to support our customers’ regulatory filings. The handling of solvents and customer product samples in accordance with all safety rules (PPE, MSDS and EHS recommendations to be considered before handling). Driving or participating in local and global continuous improvement process by making recommendations related to the workspace, equipment, and processes.

Who you are:

  • Excellent communication in English and the ability to interface with multiple teams (i.e., lab, project management, QA)
  • Knowledge of good laboratory practices, data integrity, and good documentation practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated analytical instrument and equipment troubleshooting competencies
  • Ability to understand SOPs & protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change (process, tools, organization …)
  • Team spirit and respectful behavior; Positive attitude and mindset
  • BS/MS in chemistry or related science discipline, preferably with experience working in regulated biotech/biopharmaceutical industry
