Under the supervision of RN staff, assists in maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu for psychiatric patients. May facilitate activity and recovery groups based on a structured unit-based curriculum. Assists patients with personal care under the direction of an RN.
High school graduate. Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree with major in a Human Sciences field preferred. Current certification in CPR, CPI required.
1 year of experience in locked inpatient psychiatric unit desirable; familiarity with a hospital setting helpful.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work with detailed, confidential material, computer experience required.
