General Summary of Position:
- Under the direction of a Technical Specialist/Team Leader and/or Division Manager, performs routine, moderate and designated complex laboratory tests requiring independent judgement and some interpretation. Monitors quality of reagents and working conditions of instruments.
Education:
- Associate's degree or higher level degree or equivalent training, such as in medical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology programs, is required.
Experience:
- From six to twelve months experience required.
License/Certification/Registration:
- ASCP certification (or equivalent) as a Medical Laboratory technician required within 1 year after hire.
