Gastroenterology Tech III
About the Job
Provides advanced technical support, such as ERCP’s and EUS’s, for physicians and provides advanced care to patients during endoscopic procedures. Assists in the training of the Gastroenterology Technician I's and II’s in the advanced technologies.
High school degree or GED diploma is required, plus specialized and/or advanced clerical, technical or other vocational training acquired during 1 - 2 years of additional job-related training. Associate's degree is strongly preferred. Requires the use of specialized medical equipment (i.e., EEG, EKG, blood analyzer), or data processing equipment (i.e., tape drives, consoles) and one or more years of Gastroenterology Technician II training.
From 1 to 3 years experience required as a Gastroenterology Technician II or equivalent training and verification of previous experience in advanced technology.
