Description

General Summary of Position:

  • Represents the Hospital, the Burn Center, and the Trauma Service in professional education and fundraising community activities.  Manages the Burn Patient Registry/Database.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing/adult education is required. Advanced education/training in adult education as it relates to the care and treatment of burn/trauma patients is preferred.

Experience:

  • Approximately five to six years of progressively more responsible job related experience in burn intensive care nursing is required with additional experience in burn operating room nursing preferred.  A minimum of three years experience in nursing education/training is also required.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia is required as is current ABLS and ACLS certification.
