Job Description:
 
You will perform a variety of general, mechanical, and preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and facilities.
 
Minimum qualifications include:
 

Education/Training:

High school graduation or equivalent.

 

Experience:

2 years related maintenance experience.

License/Cert/Reg:

No special certification, registration or licensure required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
  2. Carries out construction and renovation assignments in accordance with work order and specification.
  3. Coordinates preventive maintenance with emergency and repair work activities.
  4. Inspects assigned areas and responds to log book requests.
  5. Maintains assigned inventory, stocks tools, and hardware.
  6. Monitors conditions to ensure compliance with all safety codes and manufacturers specifications.
  7. Performs general maintenance and repair of heating, ventilating, refrigeration, cooling, and air-conditioning systems and equipment of the hospital.
  8. Performs preventive maintenance on a variety of mechanical systems.
  9. Performs repairs on mechanical and electrical systems as directed.
  10.  Repairs building systems including roofs, walls, fixtures, and trim.
  11. Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts as required, and service improvement teams.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
