GENERAL SUMMARY
Ensures radiation safety activities within designated area of responsibility are performed in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements in the daily operation of WHC's byproduct material and ionizing radiation program.
EDUCATION: Master's degree Radiological Physics or an equilvalent discipline with knowlege of radiological sciences is required.
PRIOR experience: Approximately three to four years of progressively more responsible job-related experience.
CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION/LICENSURE: Certification by the American Board of Health Physics, American Board of Radiology, or equivalent is preferred. Licensure by a federal or District of Columbia agency to perform radiological safety assessments of mammography, CT and X-Ray machines required.
