Description

***I currently have a Full-time Day and Full-time Night NICU position open. Prior NICU experience strongly preferred***

At Women’s Health Services at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, we provide a wide variety of services for women—from adolescents to those who are post-menopause.

The Women’s Pavilion at MedStar Franklin Square is home to the Birthplace at Franklin Square where more than 2,400 babies are born and cared for annually. The Birthplace offers 14 private birthing suites where mother and baby receive personal and professional care during labor and delivery. All rooms have state-of-the-art health monitoring equipment and special amenities.

We are raising the standard of care for infant and maternal health as the first hospital in Baltimore, and one of only two in the state of Maryland, to achieve the prestigious Baby-Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA. To receive this designation, we offer numerous mother-baby bonding programs that benefit the health of both mother and newborn.

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center received the 2017 Women’s Choice Award® for Obstetrics. MedStar Franklin Square earned this seal from their commitment to provide the best in obstetrics care, and meet the unique needs and preferences of their female patients. The scoring for America’s Best Hospitals for Obstetrics is unique as it is the only national list that is evidence-based supported by data reported by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Hospital Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) surveys.

In addition, our facility has been recognized for reducing the number of non-medically indicated elective deliveries performed before 39 completed weeks of pregnancy. Babies delivered before full-term face an increased risk of serious health problems and death in their first year of life. As one of only seven hospitals in the Maryland region to meet the criteria, this recognition applauds our commitment to providing the best care for mothers and babies.
