Job Summary and Qualifications

Orders food and maintains inventory level for patient and staff meals

· Prepares and portions food according to menu

· Monitors quality and temperature of food

· Maintains clean and orderly workstation

· Maintains documentation as requested or required

· Stores food and equipment according to guidelines

· Prepares special diets accurately

· Assures quality and timelines of food service

· Assures patient needs for nourishment are met

· Documents temperatures, patient meals and meal tickets

· Adheres to hospital polices and procedures

· Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct

· Conduct reflects the Company’s values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct

· Performs other duties as requested or required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to read and write, must have basic knowledge of modified diets and patient serving line process and follow menus, verbal and written instructions and be able to cook for large volumes 425 meals a day. Must have 2 or more years of hospital cooking experience.
