Description: Up to $13,500 bonus incentive for 2022 calendar year*

IAM Hourly represented employees who currently work at the main (Sunnyvale/Palo Alto) unit, Santa Cruz, VAFB or Eastern Range facilities must apply to open requisitions on Brass Ring to be considered for the position.

This is a Santa Cruz Facility position: Perform assembly operations such as cutting to proper length and preparing sleeving and detonation cords, mixing and applying potting compounds, trimming and surfacing molded surfaces, measuring and loading charge caps, and assembling parts into completed assemblies using tooling when required; weighing, mixing and applying adhesives to metal and non-metal surfaces.

Set-up and operate a variety of Semiautomatic machines such as laser welders, presses, strippers, crimpers, drills, stampers, cutters, hydrostats and curing equipment. Perform rework of the same level of difficulty as other work described.

Use all the tools, such as knives, torque wrenches, diagonals, tweezers, simple measuring devices and potting gun. Materials and equipment necessary to complete the job.

Ability to obtain a secret clearance

*This position is eligible for an annual incentive payout upon delivery of specific milestones. New hires will receive a prorated amount of the bonus incentive based on their hire date. Bonus incentive period will be in effect from 2022-2025. Incentive plan is subject to specific plan details and may be changed or updated as approved by leadership. This position is anticipated to remain in our Santa Cruz, CA facility until Q3 2024. At that point in time the work will be moved to other facilities across the country. We are committed to the work that needs to be done in Santa Cruz in between now and then. The hiring leader in charge of this role will be able to share more specific information tied to the move of this position during the interview process.
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to read and understand work authorizing documents.
• Must be able to use basic arithmetic.
• Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Basic computer skills such as Word, Excel and email.

• Knowledge of basic shop math and ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of assembly shop practice.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
