Job Summary and Qualifications
Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.*
Performs all mammographic procedures.*
Observant of patients’ conditions. Notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrence.*
Practices radiation safety as described in Federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy.*
Understands and operates electronic information systems, to includeeMAR, Meditech,and Pacs.*
Compilesappropriate recordstoexpediteresults.*
Assists with reception of patients and enters orders into electronic information system.*
Demonstrates ability to perform quality control functions daily inclusive of MQSA Quality Controlfunctions for mammography.*
Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of Mammographyand to meet the continuing education requirements of regulatory agencies and ARRT.*
Performs other procedures as assigned (stereotactic BX, needle locs, bone density studies)*
What qualifications you will need:
EXPERIENCE
Required: ARRT (R).
Mammo registered within 1 year of hire.
Preferred: One year experience as mammographer in a hospital environment.
