Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply and Demand Planning Manager in our Insulation Systems business. The purpose of the Supply and Demand Planning Manager role is to balance supply with demand to improve delivery performance while maintaining optimal stock across the network. This is done by generating collaborative sales forecast volumes, maximizing the capability of SAP Demand Planning system, and improving the overall forecast process and system accuracy, as well as coordinating plant production to be within operational requirements while managing inventory within established parameters. Your Day-to-Day: * Coordinate the development, entry, and extraction of sales and marketing forecasted volumes within SAP/APO, and performance variance analysis on a month-over-month and an AOP basis * Maximize the capability of the SAP Demand Planning system utilizing both business input and systems functionality to streamline and improve the overall forecast process and system accuracy * Aggregate and present business SIOP information to the Business leadership team including, but is not limited to: forecasted inventory, forecast accuracy, planned production performance, key issues requiring action or discussion * Ensure supply and demand balance to optimize business. Work closely with business counterparts during the balance decision making processes * Establish appropriate operating inventory targets to maintain customer service levels according to assigned targets while ensuring working capital is managed economically * May be required to perform other related duties as assigned What You Bring to the Team: * Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in increasing roles of forecasting, strategy development, demand planning, or supply chain * Strong analytical skills (Solid) * Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally (Solid) * Ability to work cross-functionally (Solid) * Ability to act as a change agent to manage change and simplify complexity * Solid knowledge and understanding of capacity calculations and related cost impacts * Moderate travel required * Work environment is typical of an office setting Preferred Qualifications: * Solid knowledge and understanding of insulation markets and related demand * Expert knowledge of SAP APO and data manipulation and aggregation * Lean Six Sigma education (Green Belt minimum -- Black Belt preferred) * Incumbent must be physically able to perform essential job functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Applicants can expect to make between $92,000 to $126,000 upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
