Johns Manville in Milan, Ohio is hiring a Plant Administrative Assistant to provide support to managers, leaders, and employees. The individual holding this position will be responsible for balancing multiple administrative duties and processing internal and external organizational information. Your Day to Day: * Provides services in payroll reconciliation and verification for hourly employees * Tracks hourly attendance and leaves, processes employee information such as timecards and benefits documents * Validates eligibility and earnings for hourly bonus payouts annually * Plan and purchase items for company events. (Office Supplies, Catering Events, other items as needed, etc.) * Distributes newsletters, announcements, and other forms of plant communication * Purchases basic office, production, laboratory, and safety supplies * Enters, maintains, and manipulates data spreadsheets and file programs * Assists with hourly hiring and onboarding * Maintains communication with employees, external vendors, customers and public * Assists in processing terminations and exit interviews * Responds to moderately complex inquiries from all levels of employees or external sources regarding a variety of questions * Maintains confidential information and materials * May be required to perform other related duties as assigned What You Bring to the Team: * High School Diploma, or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience * Associates Degree -- preferred * Strong organizational, administrative, and clerical skills * Strong attention to detail * Strong knowledge of payroll/systems (ADP Preferred) * Proven ability to analyze and interpret data and information * Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook * Ability to maintain confidential information * Ability to work independently and in a team environment * Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally * Minimal travel required (0 - 10 days per year) * Primary work environment is typical of an office setting. When working in a manufacturing facility; may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc. Incumbent must be physically able to perform essential job functions.
