If you have a background or interest in manufacturing, we are hiring a full-time Lab Tech at our South Gate, CA location. This position is responsible for the quality testing of raw material, finished good product for our customers, and entering the data into the Quality Management System (SAP). Pay This is an hourly position, $23.05 per hour. Shift Standard 5-day work week: Monday--Friday 4:00pm-4:00am or hours/days based on customer demand. Your Day-to-Day Complete all laboratory tests training necessary as indicated on Laboratory Training Document. * Follow Approved Work Instructions and procedures to perform tests. * Troubleshoot problems with equipment, call maintenance and other support when needed. * Notify appropriate personnel of off quality or questionable production found during testing. * Maintain quality charts, logs, and records. * Enter test data in computer as appropriate. * Maintain sample retain area. * Follow plant/department housekeeping and safety rules. * Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements * Other duties may be assigned. What you Bring to the Team * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). * Previous production and/or lab experience. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
