Join as a traveling Physical Therapist in Colorado Springs, CO where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions in an outpatient setting. This position involves comprehensive evaluations, development and implementation of treatment plans, documentation, patient and family education, and participation in professional development and performance improvement activities. You will work within physician orders and pay attention to patient and employee safety standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Colorado PT license is required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Outpatient physical therapy experience preferred, including evaluation skills and 60-minute initial evaluations with 30-minute follow-ups as noted by the client.
- Experience with documentation, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with regulatory and clinic policies.
- Ability to supervise and delegate to other therapy staff and participate in student clinical education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient clinics with caseloads focused on orthopedic and community return-to-function goals.
- Familiarity with performance improvement processes and regulatory compliance.
- Prior experience splitting time between multiple clinic locations or floating between sites preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8.
- Split between two clinic locations within the Colorado Springs area.
- Typical visit structure: 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits.
- 40 hours per week expected.
