Travel Physical Therapist — Outpatient — Fredericksburg, VA


Provide high-quality outpatient physical therapy services to adult and/or pediatric patients in a community-based clinic in Fredericksburg, VA. Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, document progress, coordinate care under physician orders, and educate patients and families to support functional return to community activities. Maintain professional standards, comply with regulatory and facility policies, and participate in performance improvement activities. This is a traveling assignment with a clinical focus on outpatient orthopedics and general rehabilitation.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Physical Therapist license in Virginia required to start the assignment.
  • Minimum of 6 months recent outpatient physical therapy experience with exposure to orthopedic and functional rehabilitation.
  • Proficiency in conducting comprehensive evaluations, goal writing, plan of care development, and functional outcome assessment.
  • Ability to complete timely, accurate documentation, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry according to payer and clinic requirements.
  • BLS certification required from AHA or ARC prior to or upon start.
  • Ability to supervise and provide direction to support staff and students as assigned.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling and infection control practices.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an outpatient clinic setting with productivity and documentation expectations.
  • Familiarity with common outpatient modalities, manual therapy techniques, and therapeutic exercise progression.
  • Previous experience precepting students or mentoring junior clinicians.


Assignment Details

  • Schedule: Monday and Wednesday 10:00–19:00; Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 07:00–16:00.
  • Assignment type: Travel outpatient physical therapy role in Fredericksburg, VA.
