Description

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others? Join a traveling Physical Therapist assignment in Colorado Springs, CO where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing a new location. This opportunity is for an outpatient setting providing 60-minute evaluations with 30-minute follow-ups. Evaluates patients, develops and implements treatment plans, delegates and directs discipline-specific therapy services, and serves as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers. Maintain professional licensure and comply with state practice acts and organizational policies. Document care accurately and timely, participate in performance improvement activities, and promote patient and employee safety.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Colorado state physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience in outpatient physical therapy, including evaluation and development of individualized treatment plans and progression toward discharge.
  • Experience completing medical record documentation, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessment, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with regulations.
  • Ability to supervise and provide appropriate oversight for students and delegated therapy services.
  • Compliance with professional code of conduct and state practice act. Maintain required continuing education and competencies for the population served.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visit structure.
  • Previous participation in student clinical education or mentorship.
  • Familiarity with clinic performance improvement processes and documentation systems used in outpatient settings.


Assignment Details

  • Shift pattern: 5x8.
  • Outpatient setting with 60-minute initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups.
  • May be asked to float to other facilities as needed.
