Responsibilities include evaluating assigned patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, delegating and directing discipline-specific therapy services, designing functional treatment programs for return to community activities, documenting care, participating in student education when applicable, and pursuing professional development. Candidates will follow clinic policies, state practice acts, and organizational safety and compliance standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Georgia Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Ability to complete timely, clear, and accurate medical record documentation, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessment, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
- Experience evaluating patients and developing individualized treatment plans focused on functional outcomes and discharge planning.
- Familiarity with state practice act and regulatory requirements for physical therapy practice.
- New graduates allowed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings.
- Experience supervising or contributing to student learning experiences.
- Demonstrated participation in professional development activities and performance improvement initiatives.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8 (32–40 hours per week).
- Workdays: Monday through Friday.
