Description

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join as a traveling Physical Therapist in Egg Harbor Twsp, NJ where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active New Jersey state PT license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings preferred.
  • Experience performing 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete clear, accurate, and timely documentation, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessment, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
  • Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and progress patients toward discharge.
  • Willingness to participate in student supervision and preceptorship as assigned.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior travel therapy experience preferred.
  • Experience with safe patient handling and materials handling protocols preferred.
  • Previous involvement in performance improvement initiatives preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift pattern: 5x8.
  • Schedule: flexible 40 hours per week with 1–2 evenings until 7 PM.
  • Practice focus: outpatient orthopedics.
  • Typical visit structure: 60-minute evaluation plus treatment sessions.

Impacting Patient Care

You will evaluate assigned patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and document care in compliance with state, federal and clinic policies. You will uphold professional licensure requirements and applicable practice acts. You will promote patient and employee safety by following safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace safety practices. You will support quality improvement activities and participate in staff and student education as assigned.
