Description

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Arlington, TX at an outpatient facility where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing a new location. You will evaluate patients, develop and modify treatment plans, delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services, and design functional programs to support return to community activities. You will educate patients, families, students, and coworkers while upholding professional standards, documentation requirements, and organizational safety expectations.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Texas state physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in orthopedics.
  • Proficiency with outpatient evaluation, goal writing, development of treatment plans, and functional outcome measurement.
  • Experience with documentation including letters of medical necessity, charge entry, and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor students and to participate in professional development activities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings.
  • Familiarity with safe patient handling practices and clinic safety programs.


Assignment Details

  • Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule.
  • Typical weekly schedule includes Monday–Thursday nine-hour shifts (possible start times 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM with end times up to 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM) and Fridays 8:00 AM–12:00 PM.
  • Must follow clinic guidelines for appearance, attendance, and punctuality.

Impacting Patient Care

You will contribute to patient and employee safety practices focused on safe patient handling, infectious disease precautions, and workplace hazard reporting. You will complete thorough evaluations, apply clinical reasoning to progress patients toward discharge, and maintain timely, accurate documentation in accordance with physician orders and payer requirements. You will uphold professional licensure, adhere to state practice acts, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
