In this role you will evaluate patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with providers and support staff to promote safe, functional return to community activities. You will document care, supervise discipline-specific therapy services, participate in student training as assigned, and engage in professional development. The position emphasizes patient and employee safety, adherence to professional standards, and contributions to performance improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active MA State Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred, including evaluation, plan of care development, and progress toward discharge.
- Competence with documentation, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
- Ability to supervise and delegate to other therapy staff and to participate in student clinical education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel therapy experience preferred.
- Experience with performance improvement initiatives and familiarity with safe patient handling techniques preferred.
