Physical Therapist — Inpatient Rehabilitation (Hospital)
Seeking a Physical Therapist to provide inpatient rehabilitation care in Atlantis, FL. The role focuses on evaluation, treatment, and progression of patients with orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical needs in an inpatient rehab setting. Candidates will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based care and support patient discharge goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Florida PT license required to start the assignment.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
- At least 1 year of recent experience in hospital acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings.
- Ability to work varied day shift hours and participate in weekend/holiday rotation as needed.
- Experience with inpatient documentation systems such as Meditech and common rehabilitation equipment (treatment beds, treadmills, exercise bikes, resistance bands).
- Must be able to provide inpatient care for orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general med/surg populations.
- Must be a team-oriented clinician with strong time management and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
- Prior experience working on a dedicated inpatient rehab unit.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 08:30–17:00.
- Schedule includes one weekend per month with weekdays off to balance schedule.
- Work is on-site at an inpatient rehabilitation unit; candidate must be able to work varied day shift hours.
