Physical Therapist — Outpatient, Orlando, FL
Join a collaborative outpatient therapy team in Orlando, FL. Provide 60-minute evaluations and individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries or managing chronic conditions. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Florida physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- Demonstrated ability to complete comprehensive evaluations and develop measurable treatment plans and goals.
- Experience documenting in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessment, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
- Competence with 60-minute evaluation and treatment sessions.
- Ability to delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services and to supervise students as assigned.
- Commitment to maintaining professional licensure, meeting continuing education requirements, and adhering to state practice acts and regulatory standards.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Outpatient physical therapy experience.
- Experience with safe patient handling practices and material handling protocols.
- Prior experience participating in performance improvement initiatives and completing associated documentation.
Assignment Details
- Schedule options include 8/5s or 4/10s.
- Responsible for designing and delivering functional treatment programs and ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and insurance approval when required.
- May be expected to participate in student supervision and professional development activities.
