Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Tampa, FL. This outpatient role requires a clinician who evaluates patients, develops and modifies treatment plans based on patient needs and physician direction, and implements functional programs that support return to community activities. The therapist will delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, document care accurately and timely, and participate in student education and professional development activities. The role emphasizes patient and employee safety and adherence to professional standards and organizational values.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Florida Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience in outpatient settings preferred, including evaluation, treatment planning, and functional goal writing.
- Demonstrated competency with clinical documentation, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with payer and clinic requirements.
- Ability to supervise and provide direction for therapy support staff and students as assigned.
- Maintenance of professional licensure and compliance with state practice act and continuing education requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in outpatient orthopedics or similar caseloads preferred.
- Prior experience with student clinical supervision preferred.
- Familiarity with performance improvement initiatives and quality measures preferred.
