Description

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Garland, TX. Provide outpatient therapy services that help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily living, work, and leisure skills. Evaluate patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Supervise support staff and students as assigned. Maintain professional licensure, adhere to state practice acts, and follow clinic policies and safety protocols.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active Texas Occupational Therapist license required to start the assignment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience in outpatient therapy settings preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency in completing comprehensive evaluations, developing treatment plans, goal writing, and clinical documentation, including letters of medical necessity and charge entry.
  • Ability to supervise students and delegate to discipline-specific therapy staff.
  • Familiarity with state and federal documentation and billing guidelines and providing care under valid physician orders and insurance approvals.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
  • Experience working with a variety of adult outpatient diagnoses preferred.
  • Participation in professional development and continuing education preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift pattern: 5x8.
