Description

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT. We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily skills while exploring a new location.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active Colorado OT license required prior to the start of the assignment.
  • BLS certification may be required from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Home health experience required. Client specifies prior home health experience is needed.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with OASIS documentation and meeting required timeframes and accuracy expectations.
  • Ability to perform medication reviews and provide patient/caregiver education regarding medications and safety measures.
  • Experience assessing home environments for safety, coordinating equipment and supplies, and providing case management in a home health setting.
  • Ability to supervise occupational therapy assistants and home health aides as needed.
  • Must meet productivity expectations: 30 points per week (client requirement).
  • Must be able to travel within and provide care across El Paso, Teller, and Douglas counties as part of the assignment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between patient homes. Mileage reimbursement provided per client policy.

Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Home Health.
  • Shift: Days. Client indicates M–F schedule.
  • Shift pattern: 5x8 (day shifts).
  • Productivity requirement: 30 points per week.
  • Counties covered: El Paso, Teller, Douglas.
  • Floating/Travel expectations: Must travel to patient homes across the service area; ability to drive between visits required.
