Description

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in Highlands, NC. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily living and work skills across acute care and long-term care settings. This role supports inpatient rehabilitation, bedside treatment, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active North Carolina Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
  • Experience treating adult and geriatric patients in acute care, inpatient rehab, or long-term care settings preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform standardized assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document according to facility policy.
  • Client requirement: ability to work across both acute care and Eckerd Living Center (long-term care) populations during the assignment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a community hospital setting preferred.
  • Experience with wheelchair seating, ADL training, and discharge planning preferred.

  • Shift hours: 0800-1630.
  • Work areas: Acute care and Eckerd Living Center long-term care.
