We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Charlotte, NC. The clinician will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and care for patients with breathing disorders. This role supports a high-volume department with diverse adult and neonatal patient populations and requires adherence to department culture and values.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
- Current NC state respiratory licensure in good standing.
- RRT or CRT credentialed. Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (Resource Team requirements).
- Experience in critical care settings including CVICU, ED, progressive care, and all floor therapies.
- Experience with neonatal care (NICU) and adult care patient populations.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record.
- Willingness to float regionally as needed within scope of practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with servo ventilators (including Servo I, U, and Airs), Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP.
- Critical care and CVICU specific experience.
- Previous travel or regional floating experience preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 1900-0700.
- Shift pattern: 3x12 nights.
- Standard hours per week: 36.
- Orientation: New employee orientation plus 2 days departmental orientation.
- Department supports teamwork and adherence to culture and values.
- Floating: Required to float within the region as needed. Travelers will be paid for travel time if floating mid-shift.
