Description

We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
  • Current state Respiratory Therapist license in good standing with the Maine State Licensing Board.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as an RRT, including tertiary/teaching hospital or Level I trauma experience.
  • BLS required. ACLS preferred.
  • NRP required for NICU assignments.
  • Experience with mechanical ventilators and respiratory equipment, including Drager V500/VN500, Hamilton T1/C1, Respironics V30/V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm.
  • Experience with EPIC or comparable EMR preferred.
  • Ability to float across departments as an RRT, including adult acute and critical care, ED, and some NICU/PICU and acute pediatric settings.
  • Preferred: experience with NICU/PICU and cardiothoracic care.

Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital.

  • Shift hours: 07:00–19:00.
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
  • Weekend hours: 36 (as noted by client).
  • Call requirement: Yes. 2 hours for the oncoming shift.
  • Float requirements: May be required to float to other departments within the facility.
