We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current state Respiratory Therapist license in good standing. OH and KY licenses preferred; Ohio license required if practicing in Ohio.
- One year experience as an RRT. Acute care or hospital-based experience required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Experience with invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, ventilator setup and self-test, and ventilator management.
- Experience performing arterial puncture, oximetry, capnography, suctioning (including tracheal), tracheostomy care, and chest physiotherapy.
- Experience with cardiopulmonary procedures and monitoring including 12-lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, and pulmonary function testing.
- Ability to assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube management, and tracheostomy insertion/removal.
