We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Boston, MA where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role requires clinical independence in ventilator management, participation on resuscitation teams, and experience in high-acuity settings.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- RRT certification.
- Current MA Respiratory Care license in good standing.
- BLS certification.
- 5+ years of recent experience in a Level 1 trauma facility, including recent critical care experience in both MICU and SICU.
- Demonstrated ability to make ventilator decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory results and familiarity with lung protective ventilation.
- Participation on Code Blue/resuscitation team.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Level III NICU.
- Experience with Drager XL and V500 ventilators.
- NPS and/or ACCS certifications preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 3x12 (night shifts).
- Must be able to float to other facilities as required.
