We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Grand Island, NE where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current state license in good standing with the State License Board.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential via NBRC required.
- Minimum 5 years recent relevant experience required; 5–7 years preferred.
- Competence in ventilator management and nebulizer administration.
- Experience responding to rapid response and code blue calls and providing care across care areas including pre/post surgical and emergency department settings.
- Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA).
- NRP preferred.
- Familiarity with MEDITECH charting system preferred.
- Driver’s license required at submittal to confirm distance from facility per client radius rule.
- Compliance with facility fingernail policy: artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas.

- Facility Type: Hospital.
- Shift Name: Nights.
- Shift Pattern: 12-hour nights.
- Weekend Requirement: 1 night every other weekend.
- Orientation Hours: 12 hours.
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week.
- Charting System: MEDITECH.
- Floating: Candidates must be willing to respond across care areas; floating to other facilities may be required per client policies.
