We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Dickinson, ND where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current North Dakota state respiratory license in good standing. (ND respiratory license required at time of submission).
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) verification or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) verification. CRT accepted; RRT preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical respiratory therapy experience.
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required.
- Experience with Meditech charting system.
- Ability to perform ABGs, EKGs, and full respiratory therapy duties across age ranges (neonates through geriatrics).
- Familiarity with mechanical ventilation equipment including PB980, Hamilton C1, and V60 BiPAP.
- Ability to work independently; candidate may be the only RT in-house on some shifts.
- Fit testing requirement: must be able to pass facility fit testing protocols. Candidates with facial hair may be unable to complete required fit testing and may be ineligible.
- Radius rule: candidate may not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity.
- Required orientation: 1–2 weeks of unit-specific orientation depending on experience. Orientation hours noted as 12.
- Preferred certifications: PALS, NRP.

- Cancellation policy: facility may cancel up to 4 shifts for a 13-week assignment (per client notes).
