Become a vital part of a hospital imaging team in Marietta, GA as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast media when indicated, and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images. You will apply radiation safety principles, verify patient identity and history, and communicate with patients and the care team to ensure safe, efficient care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA or JRCERT accredited School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent program.
- ARRT Radiography and ARRT Computed Tomography certification required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Minimum 1 year radiology experience required. CT experience preferred; less than 1 year CT experience is listed as preferred in client notes.
- Competent in CT patient positioning, exposure factors, radiation protection, venipuncture, and power injector operation.
- Ability to operate CT consoles, push/retrieve images to PACS, and complete studies in RIS/PACS per department workflow.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with physicians, patients, families, and departmental staff.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, multitask, and function in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to be flexible with work hours and to take call when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a hospital imaging department.
- Demonstrated proficiency with quality control, image review, and working with teleradiography workflows.
- Previous experience assisting across modalities and supporting departmental operations.
Assignment Details
- Shift Hours: 0600-1900.
- Shift Pattern: Day shift schedule includes Thursday, Saturday, Sunday 0630-1900 per unit needs.
- Candidate must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs and able to take call when required.
