What You'll Need:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology, an associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field, or acceptable equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- State licensure required based on modality. New Mexico: RRT or FUS by MIRTP NMED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA only).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (AHA only).
- 0-1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred. Client requires cath lab experience and comfort operating cath lab imaging and hemodynamic systems.
- Client prefers one of the following certifications: RCIS, RCES, RCS (CCI), Radiography (R) by ARRT, CI/CV/VI by ARRT, RDMS credentials (AB, OB/GYN, AE), or RVT by ARDMS. These are preferred, not required.
- Ability to train and demonstrate competency on cath lab equipment including fluoro/X-ray, IVUS, ICE, contrast injectors, hemodynamic monitors, IABP, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, and LVAD support.
- Ability to serve as radiation safety representative during X‑ray use and to adhere to aseptic technique and institutional policies related to patient safety and infection control.
