Insight Globals client is looking for a Principal Data Scientist to join their growing Data Science and Engineering team. The candidates primary responsibility will be to develop/test algorithms that our client uses in their intelligence software, this person will be responsible for finding relationships between the different data sets. A successful candidate will previous experience performing data analysis at enterprise scale and developing data driven models. This role requires a highly motivated individual who has applied data science knowledge or in other words, someone who can bridge the gap between theory and application, in order to help frame the questions and construct answers to those questions and then measure the quality of the answers at scale. This person will need a deep understanding of Machine Learning algorithms including feature engineering, hypothesis testing, and validation. He/she will have excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data driven solutions to non-technical people as well.

R knowledge

Exposure to AWS based tools (Glue, SageMaker, Lambda, S3, etc.)

Parallel computing experience (PySpark, Hive, etc.)
Someone who has 3+ years of STRONG hands-on Machine Learning and Data Science experience.

Need someone with a deep understanding of the math associated with the algorithms and can talk through them.

Strong Python experience to manipulate data

Advanced-level coding skills (data structures, algorithms, etc.) highly preferred. This person is will need to w/w data engineers and give input on how to build these structures at scale. Data Scientist needs to understand what the engineer is doing.

Understanding of the different packages/algorithms and ability to articulate the differences between them.

Masters degree in a quantitative field, i. e., Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science
