A large healthcare organization in Norfolk, VA is seeking an LPN for their long term acute care team. The primary duties of this position include triaging, verifying medical information, caring for the patient's overall health, and working closely with the doctors and other team members. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing. The LPN demonstrates professional and clinical knowledge relative to designated clinical practice setting in the delivery of direct patient care, adhering to the level of verified competency dictated by the site-specific program.
Duties (included but not limited to):
LPN manages responsibilities of workload with accuracy, provides excellence in customer service, performs testing, medication administration and the implementation of nursing interventions and care plans to support a holistic approach to patient care.
Plusses:
* ACLS Certification
* Experience in ICU/ Trauma
Must-haves:
* LPN License
* Active BLS certification
* At least 1 year of Acute care experience
