Insight Global is seeking to hire a Lead AV Installation Technician to support a very large IT federal and commercial integrator headquartered in Glen Burnie, MD. This specific role will be located on different sites surrounding the DMV area. It will involve travel but will be provided a company vehicle and a fuel card. The Audio/Visual team is responsible for installing all AV equipment such as televisions, control panels, speakers, etc, in a plethora of different environments such as corporate conference rooms and stadium suites. The AV Install Technician will be tasked out with execut entire audio-visual installation projects in commercial facilities, government facilities, finished environments, raw construction environments, universities, etc. This individual will be responsible for performing installation tasks such as: pulling cable, installing connectors, handling, and terminating fiber, mounting projects and metal fabrication, etc. They will also be responsible for reading electronic schematics & blueprints, projector and screen support structure installs, field installations of control panels/programs (Crestron/AMX), mentor technicians, provide site supervision, track the budget of the projects, understand the scope of work, and complete all documentation as needed. This opportunity will also be in a client facing role, so professionalism is extremely important.


- Manufacturer training such as:

o Extron, Crestron, Biamp, Polycom, Cisco
- 3+ years of AV system install experience

o Familiar with Creston/AMX/Polycom VTC control systems

o Familiar audio DSP's: QSC, Biamp, Clearone, Symetrix

o Ability to read & understand cable pull schedules, floor plans & ceiling plans

- Experience leading a team

- Experience with AV system setup and troubleshooting

- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30

- Customer Service skills

- HS Diploma
