Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, New Product Planning position will play a lead role in managing and supporting clinical-stage assets. This individual will independently lead key strategic workstreams in support of pipeline development and early commercialization activities and will support the Vice President and Directors of New Product Planning. This role is a part of Horizon's Strategy and Business Development organization and will report to the Vice President, New Product Planning.

Responsibilities include:
  • Support strategic development and commercialization efforts for Horizon's drug development pipeline (e.g., support asset strategy development, manage disease education activities, develop a communication plan, support market research efforts, etc.)
  • In conjunction with R&D, lead early-stage development program(s) with support of Vice President and/or Director, New Product Planning


Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; graduate degree preferred
  • Background in new product planning, commercial development, or in related commercial functions within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience required
  • 5+ years relevant work experience
  • Clinical or scientific background preferred

  • Comfort with and ability to understand the business implications of the "technical" aspects of the biopharmaceutical business model (e.g., scientific, clinical, regulatory)

  • Experience in slide design and presentation delivery utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint
