Use your advanced knowledge of the hardware engineering discipline, processes and tools to help the Honeywell Commercial Fire group deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of Building Fire products by designing, testing and/or validating products/processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. You will interact with internal and external customers to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Senior Hardware person to drive others in best practices on Hardware development
  • Deeper understanding of electronics and an analytic approach to design and solving problems
  • Ability to drive hardware system architecture, design, schematics, and layouts for robust designs.
  • Knowledge and mitigation resolution to EMI radiated and conducted emissions
  • Technical Leader and key contributor for innovation, new technology and product roadmaps
  • Technical leader that is multi-disciplined understanding, mechanical electrical, software for system integration with related Hardware.
  • Helps in resource allocation, technical planning and other complex decision processes requiring significant organizational knowledge and participation
  • Key technical person to create specifications, to ensure design and test plans are sufficient to meet functional and quality product requirements

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering  
  • 5+ years of Advanced Hardware Engineering experience 
  • 3+ years of experience developing and driving hardware system architecture, design, schematics, and layouts for robust designs.

  • Experience as a technical leader that is multi-disciplined in understanding, mechanical electrical, or software for system integration with related Hardware.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Understanding and application of Cyber security and IoT requirements
  • Knowledge of UL, ULC, FM, FCC, EN, NFPA standards to enable robust design from the 1st phase
  • Six Sigma certified
  • Possesses Honeywell leadership & teaming skills that:
    • Leads with best practices on design, tools and research
    • Influence, guide, & inspire other Electrical Engineers
    • Vision of robust designs
    • Contributes and defines electrical team objectives
  • Can demonstrates significant business impact while instrumental in attracting and obtaining new business opportunities and ideas
  • Understanding of Agile development for Hardware and Software
  • Experience with Mentor suite of tools
