Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the
patient s needs.
* Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of growth and development.
* Demonstrates the ability to identify high priority patients to the triage nurse, based on
pre determined criteria.
* Monitors the waiting room and identifies patient in need for re-assessment by the triage
nurse, based on pre determined criteria.
* Recognizes and responds to monitor alarms and/or changes in patient cardiac rhythm, and
assures that RN or charge nurse is notified and aware.Minimum Qualifications:
* HS Diploma or GED is required* Certificate from Paramedic and/or EMT School is preferred.
* Willingness to cross train as Unit Secretary
* Previous experience working as a Paramedic and/or EMT is required. Experience with
starting IVs is necessary
* Computer experienceLicensures/Certifications:
* Paramedic and/or ER Tech License preferred.* ACLS, BLS, PALS required
