Description:

The Director of Medical Staff Services reports to the Chief Medical Officers and Medical Staff Leadership. The Director leads system level Medical Staff Services in design development, directing the implementation and continuous improvement of systems, resources, plans and policies for Holy Cross Medical Staff Services including interpretation and direction of information from Trinity Health Verification, Credentialing, Practitioner Data and medical staff strategies for physicians, APP and allied health providers. The Director provides leadership, direction, process improvement models & initiatives and establishes evidence based, best practice analysis to improve/establish work standards for the regional ministry initiatives: central verification requirements, credentialing, privileging and medical staff services functions, regulatory compliance, the provider data warehouse, provider onboarding and support for quality, safety, marketing, finance, executive leadership, physician, APP, and allied health recruitment and engagement initiatives. Responsible for meeting system, legal and regulatory requirements and assists ministry and leadership to enhance safety, quality, physician engagement, loyalty, workforce planning, leadership development, recruiting eligibility, engagement, satisfaction and system wide growth.

*Liaison between the medical staff, clinical informatics, and hospital administration.

Managed MSO's department volunteer staff; provided directions and mentorship.

Regularly assist medical staff members with fulfilling responsibilities as required by local, state, federal, and other regulatory agencies.

Inform and implement requirements, and standards set forth by our Medical Staff Bylaws. Ensure credentialing process performed by our CVO is accomplished in an efficient and compliant manner.

Initiate and complete the credentialing process for the medical staff to include appointment, reappointment, the granting of clinical privileges, and resignations.

Support medical staff officers, department chairs, and committee chairs while serving as the informational resource to medical and hospital staff concerning medical staff issues o Joint Commissions standards, medical staff bylaws, rules and guidelines along with state and federal regulations.

Prepare, attend, and perform follow-up for all the medical staff department and committee meetings.

Perform periodical reviews of the medical staff bylaws, DOP's, rules and regulations, and intradepartmental policies and procedures to recommend and facilitate changes as appropriate.

Administrative, Operational, and Financial monitoring aspects of services provided, and reported finding to the Vice President of Quality and corporate MSO leaders.

Preparing budgets and financial statements; managing overhead and revenue; accounting and auditing; payroll for subordinates

Worked closely with business development and marketing support team as well as , provider relations

Screening (credentialing) employees (clinical); providing human resource knowledge with policies while performing leadership and medical staff training.
