A Sales Manager with Capital Hilton is responsible for representing the hotel's services and facilities to prospective clients and customers in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Our historic hotel is in the heart of the nation’s capital, less than a mile from McPherson Sq metro station. The National Mall, Georgetown, and the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum are within two miles. With 30,000 square feet of meeting space, this property is attractive to groups of all sizes.
What will I be doing?
As a Sales Manager, you specifically would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, and food and beverage services. This role will be handling 20 rooms and under for Corporate/Tour/Association mixed markets. You would be managing a large volume of leads that are generated but also soliciting new clientele.
- Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts
- Conduct property site visits and answer questions
- Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business for the hotel(s)
- Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals
- Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts
Ability to work from home one day a week potentially
REQUIRED
1 year hotel sales coordinator or 1 year hotel sales experience
Candidate could have strong Front Office Department skills with systems knowledge and seeking a sales role
