What you´ll do
- Development of Global Strategic Safety Initiatives with the Global Lab Safety team and steer implementation of these Safety Initiatives to locations with Adhesives R&D labs in Asia-Pacific.
- Active collaboration in the creation, deployment and continuous improvement of Corporate Safety Standards & Procedures.
- Act as regional subject-matter expert for lab safety, providing guidance on standards, best practices and regulatory compliance without direct site ownership.
- Consultancy to R&D personnel on questions around Safety, including lab design, chemical handling, risk assessments and safe work practices.
- SHE Auditing of Adhesives Innovation labs and locations, including planning, execution, reporting and follow-up of corrective actions.
- Regular visits to Adhesives R&D labs in Asia-Pacific to assess safety performance standards, identify any gaps and support sites in defining clear action plans to close the gaps.
- Steer consistent implementation of 5S lab standards to support safe and efficient lab operations.
- Tight collaboration and exchange with the Adhesives Innovation Management teams in APAC to drive safety.
- Support the rollout of regional and global safety training programs.
- Ensure labs have systems in place to monitor and comply with local regulatory requirements (chemical, occupational safety, environmental).
- Act as key link between global SHE strategy and local lab execution, ensuring alignment with HAT’s overall safety vision, roadmap and journey.
What makes you a good fit
- Master degree in Chemistry, Engineering or even Safety.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit and inspirational leader.
- Proven track record of minimum 5 years in SHE management & strategy. Preferable experience in SHE management of labs, R&D facilities or chemical production facilities.
- Preferably, certified auditor (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & 50001).
- Experience in conducting management system, lab or process safety audits across multiple sites is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and fluent English sills (writing and speaking).
- Willingness to travel regularly in the APAC region (about 20% travelling expected).
