POSITION SUMMARY

Strive to achieve financial goals by providing superior quality, competitive value and outstanding service when supporting and maintaining Operating Room (OR) inventory, including par level and utilization management, supply replenishment, put away orders, and other necessary practices. PeopleSoft proficiency.

 

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Ensure supplies and implants are kept organized and in the correct location. 2. Manage all issues to case carts based on preference cards. 3. Manage and maintain established par levels and utilization as required OR rooms supply replenishment; work with and in conjunction with OR staff to develop appropriate par levels 4. Identify opportunities for product standardization, inventory placement and processes contributing to maximum efficiency and customer service. 5. Perform routine cycle counts. 6. Use department specific software, such as BCX to replenish OR supplies, as needed including no charge PO's 7. Partner with department associates in purchasing and receiving functions to enforce purchasing compliance. 8. Assist in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing of IV solutions, and supplies.

Qualification:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 Education\: High school diploma or equivalent.  Licensure\: None required  Certification\: None required  Work Experience\: o 1-year health care experience, or inventory role. o Minimum of one year of PeopleSoft knowledge and experience preferred. o Analytical skills necessary to make sound recommendations based on data analysis and operational needs. o Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office products  Knowledge/Skills/Abilities\: o Math aptitude o Communication - verbal, written and auditory o Familiar with inventory devices, material handling equipment, and cycle counts o Understand inventory par level management o Time management o Organization skills o Understands concept of First in First Out (FIFO) o Use of Microsoft Office products and related applications and software to role o Collaboration

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 Education\: Associate Degree preferred in business, or minimum 1 year related work  Licensure\: N/A  Certification\: N/A  Work Experience\: Inventory management, or implant familiarity, or in operating room supplies and or inventory management, purchasing, or other related duties  Knowledge/Skills/Abilities\: o PeopleSoft proficiency o Purchasing cycle from order, receiving, stock, and vendor return o Knowledge and use of BCX o Relationship and teamwork

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Stand and walk for 6-8 hours; lift up to 40 pounds with or without a device or assistance; bend, squat, stoop; handle and lift large and/or bulky cartons and boxes; push, pull and maneuver carts, dollies and other devices, mechanical or manual, to move and transfer goods. Sit at computer for varied periods of time.
