About the Job
To be fully engaged in providing Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by effectively and efficiently oversee the provider recruiting department to recruit, screen, hire, on-board and develop providers with the objective of maximizing the performance of HFMG. The Manager of Provider Recruitment will partner to align the provider manpower plan to organization strategies to optimize and significantly impact clinical and business outcomes. Must have ability to work in a matrixed organization, collaborate with others, and communicate effectively with teams at all levels of the Health First System.
Responsible for performance of physician recruitment department in achieving the organizational goals related to provider manpower.
Ability to mentor staff through influence and feedback and recommend necessary improvements; a service approach to leadership, with the ability to recruit, develop, coach, and mentor entry level professionals for maximum performance and associate satisfaction.
Facilitates regular communication with associates to ensure awareness of operational priorities, effective working relationships, overflow support and workload balance, and the sharing of best practice.
Serves as an administrative partner to other leaders in Health First IDN.
Sets SMART goals for the department and works with matrix associates to carry-out and accomplish those goals; including, but not limited to, onboarding, payroll, and marketing.
Participates in local, regional, and/or national professional practice networks to serve as the subject matter expert based on current knowledge of recruitment markets and trends.
Provides oversight and direction and is accountable for effective operations of the provider recruitment vetting process to ensure that providers meet and maintain Health First Medical Group professional practice quality standards.
Ensures recruitment strategy compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, and internal goals.
Maintains knowledge of and complies with all relevant employment laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
Makes recommendations on advertising placements, direct mail, and related recruitment tactics based on cost and effectiveness measures.
Maintains performance of the recruitment team to hire and onboard providers on schedule.
Responsible for analysis of market trends regarding provider recruitment expenses (i.e. relocation allowance, loan forgiveness, welcome bonus, etc.).
Collaborate with other leaders to evaluate provider enterprise design and structure.
Is able to explain contract terms of all employment agreements to recruited providers.
Is able to explain benefit offerings to recruited providers.
Provide timely communication to providers during all phases\: recruiting, onboarding, employment.
Maintains contacts with colleagues, universities, and related entities as part of recruiting efforts – including, but not limited to, maintaining relationships with residency/fellowship programs to establish a pipeline or candidates for future success.
Evaluate and adopt new technologies that enhance and enable the provider recruitment experience.
Education\: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Care Administration from an accredited college or university OR experience in a healthcare related leadership position ideally with medical group physician recruiting experience or experience in sales or marketing.
Leadership experience with a demonstrated success in building, managing, and monitoring team performance to meet objectives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization. Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets professional/ legal/ medical documents, policy and procedures, government regulations, and legislative documents
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
Strong organization skills and prioritizing ability
